Faux Stained Glass

Welcome to your Faux Stained Glass experience—where a little paint, a steady hand, and a touch of patience come together to create something that truly shines. This instruction page will guide you step by step as you transform a simple design into a glowing, glass-like piece of art. Don’t worry about perfection here—the beauty of this project is in the character of each line and the way light dances through your finished piece. Take your time, enjoy the process, and watch as your artwork comes to life one detail at a time.

Included in your kit:

Front loading 8x10 frame / Gallery Glass leading in black / 12pk Apple Barrel acrylic / paints / Clear Elmers Glue / Paint Brushes / 2 sets of string lights / Aluminum Foil sheet / Tape / Paper plate / 4 design sheets / Alcohol prep wipes/ Acrylic Paint Pen

If you ordered a box for 2, much of this will be doubled except you will share many of the basic materials. Our boxes for two are meant to be shared experiences, not duplicate kits, so it is important you work together for the project.

We included some videos below to show you a general idea of how this works, we obviously used better quality materials than Dollar Tree items, but the concept is similar. We also opted for using Decoart Liquid Leading rather than using puffy colored glue. When picking acrylic paints for this project we went Apple Barrel because they are a decent entry level paint and translucent enough to work well. We don't want anything too heavy bodied or light won't come through. You are welcome to choose your own designs. A simple Google search will yield 100's of designs. You'll want to resize the image so it fits your 8x10 glass.
